Sixxkiller
For any of you guys who are having trouble getting your British pilots going, or just want to see how StalinsO thinks, you can go to my website and read his first article on playing Spitfires in DIF. Enjoy -Ray
Zanadu
To SixxKiller: Excellent article. I agree. The Spit XIV is the best ftr in the game. The downside qualities of the actual Spitfire (very limited range and poor ground handling qualities -- especially in later models) don't figure into DiF. In real life, of course, Spitfire XIVs didn't do much escort work due to the range factor. That's why the RAF had squadrons of Mustangs.
Guest Mike
Indeed - DiF doesn't model the vast majority of factors that were actually important in real life - such as the availablility of resources, the limitations of the structure of the a/c to accept extra fuel tanks, the strength of the undercarriage, the size of the industrial base manufacturing it - but such is the nature of a tactical game in any war
Sixxkiller
No where did I ever say the word excellent! I said "article". Please dont turn Stalin into another Mistura and Kindred!!! Theres already a shortage of oxygen in the DIF community as it is. -Ray Originally posted by Zanadu: To SixxKiller: Excellent article. I agree. The Spit XIV is the best ftr in the game.
