Fred19
Have there any changes been made recently? Played a couple of missions today and nor one of my leaders, neither the wingie in another team got back the ED feature (must have been about 6 or 7 missions for each of them). bartbert
I don't think anything has changed as far as awarding ED's (at least, not intentionally).
Mistura
What! 6-7 missions and NO ED. Is that all. I had 1 pilot go 14 missions without getting Ed back. He died on mission 15. Take heart. Starting over is great. 0 bursts nose to nose. Those were the days... Thank GOD I didn't have to live them.
Fred19
Didn't know that it might take so long to get that ability back, Mistura. Usually my pilots regained it after 5 missions or so. Guess I'll have to be particularly cautious when sending them into combat.
bartbert
I think the base chance is 20%, so 5 missions sounds about right. There was a problem when the game first came out in which the wingmen NEVER got an ED awarded, but that was corrected a couple of months ago. Guest Mike
With a 20% chance of getting it back per mission you are never 100% guaranteed to get it back at all! You have a 50/50 chance of getting it back in 3 missions (roughly). the chances of not getting it back after 7 missions are 20%, and 4.5% after 14 missions - so nothing particularly unusual here. bartbert
That's correct. You could have a really bad string of luck, and not get an ED after flying 100 missions. The probability of that happening is exceedingly small, but it could happen (assuming you could survive for 100 missions without an ED, that is). Guest Mike
100 missions would give about 0.0000000002% chance of not getting it back!
bartbert
Ok. So if anyone goes 100 missions without getting an ED, I'll admit that there's a problem with the code that awards the ED's. Until then, it's just bad luck!
Guest Mike
no don't do that - give them a medal for their unique experience!
Fred19
Excellent idea! I'm pretty sure I'll be the first who gets it.
