Unit Attribute Clarification - What's soft?

Recommended Posts

Still not getting it. Are these a measure of how much counter attack damage a unit gives or takes?

Example:

Soft Attack is how much damage you do to your attacker during a combat move?

Soft Defense is how resistant you are to taking damage from the person you just attacked during a combat move?

I never understood those value too, lol.

- Say a German infantry unit has soft attack 5 and soft defence 4.

- And an English infantry unit has soft attack 3 and soft defence 2.

What happens when the German unit attacks the English one ?

And what when the English attacks the German one ?

If the German attacks, does the English "attack back" ?

TaoJah,

Glad it just wasn't me. I just figured it out.

Soft = Infantry (I guess because people are kind of squishy when compared to tanks and battleships)

This is why they have values for:

Soft Attack (Infantry or Partisan or HQ)

Tank Attack (Tank)

Air Attack (Air)

etc.

etc.

It has nothing to do with counterattacks or anything else.
