Martin has since repeated an offer he made earlier regarding an off-topic Battle Front Forum for SC and SC2. I would also be willing to set up a linked website for all other war games -- but also including SC/SC2 discussions, of course. If you're interested in any of these things please mention it in this Thread. == The Original Post: With Firebase Bastogne defunct and Sarge's withdrawn there is no longer a website for Strategic Command buffs to post off topic threads and to write AARs that would be too outlandish for this official Battle Front site. If there's enough interest in such a site I'll set it up. It would work in conjuction with The Writing Club. In other words, there would be no game discussions at TWC and this new site would have nothing but game discussions and AARs. Members would be free to participate either or both sites. Those who would be interested in such a site are asked to state it in this thread. If a dozen or so members are interested I'll set the site up. If not there's no point in doing so. If you guys want an off-topic thread here and in the other SC forum along the lines of the Peng or Waffles threads, go ahead. Provided that off-topic posts remain in that one thread and that a new one is started after 300 posts, and that things don't get out of hand, and no excessive image posting, and... and... and... If there's enough interest in an additional site that would not be specific to any one wargame, then I'll set that one up in conjuction with the The Writing Club and will keep links open to Martin's BF SC/SC2 Forum. I'll definitely set up that game site, it will be for any and all strategy games, including SC / SC2. Meanwhile I like Martin's idea very much and hope he'll set that forum up here at BF. The site I'll be setting up will be much more general and will encompass any game adapted computer play.
