Issues when playing a network game against international opponents

To make a long story short, I have the English version and my dad the German version. When we play the World at War game against each other over the network, something happens with the country info, switching up most of the flags and country names. So Japan has the French flag, and France is now Estonia, etc etc. Any idea whats causing this and how to fix it?

The simplest way to resolve this is for both of you to play the exact same campaign, i.e. to both play the German version of the campaign or the English version.

All you need to do is to make sure you both have the same *.cgn file as well as the same subdirectory for the campaign.
