Terif As Axis Tyranny, Liam as The Allied Justice Pen All Typical Opening Conquests Britian opened up the War with a Suicidal Naval Doctrine, Conquoring Norway and abandoning Egypt, but leaving behind a strong Naval TaskForce to Fight the Italians in the Med. The German U-30 was never found in the Atlantic until much later raiding near the loop off Africa and was damaged but escaped! The Royal Navy hunted aimlessly for it and was hammered continually by the Luftwaffe-Kriegsmarine into a weakened state. Fighting off Morocco For Control of West Africa, cost the Brits an Army-Tank-2 Corps. Meanwhile the Small Miniature Naval Taskforce left behind by my RN in North Atlantic was overcome by the Kriegsmarine and they dove to conquor the Seas... Plus the Liberation of Norway by the Axis and sinking of British Amphibious units really hurt the Morale of their future prospects in Northern Europe. Unfettered Churchill pushed for Investment in Advanced air! LR2-Advanced Air was achieved in '40 and used Mercilessly against the Axis, but they never chose to fight! Except 1 encounter, the Luck there navy came to field any results! The Royal Navy so battered by Undersupplied fights retreated to Canada and rebuilt, costing tons of Cash..US Money helped but at a cost... It however took the Axis ages to Conquor Egypt and in the end, when Barbarossa kicks of late in '41 the Russians pour into Iraq... With 0 tech in battlefield. all fields but Level1 Armor Regardless 7 Russian Tanks overcome Iraq, but much to their demise, a well planed encounter with Erwin Rommel, soons makes haste with their destruction, Planning a defensive broke BirdWing Strategy, Axis forces strike out from-Jordan-Kuwait and Syria in a 3 Pronge assualt, nearly encircling and destroying a far superior Russian Force.. Though they've the Air and very experienced Advanced units, that's the end of all Russian Offensives In Russia Proper, Germans destroy and plunder the nation, finding some resistance outside Stalingrad, where the Russians surrender, and a week later the British Mail in their terms of surrender. Despite the RN and American Navy having overcome the vast U-boat and Raider Campaign the Germans set out to use in this game, the cost was too much and there was not enough fighting equipment left in the West to overcome any defenses the Axis have... Massive Bomber Formations Reign Down Fire all over England... Isolating the Island like a Oasis of Low Income Great Game.. Terif Posted November 2, 2007 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Yea, this was a very bloody war in the Atlantic...Royal Navy got sent merciless by the british admirality into the deadliest situations...the first 7 UK battleship fleets were sunk already in 1940 - fortunately for them they got a free french battleships so they didn´t have to solely trust in their cruisers...from which 2 of them and 2 carriers got also sunk . So until mid 1942 axis subs ruled the Atlantic, sinking every merchant ship they could find...protected by the axis surface fleet against remaining UK cruisers.. The british defence of Cassablanca and Gibraltar cost them not only halve of their fleet, but also all ground forces from Egypt - except for O´Connor that could set sail the turn before the escape routes got closed. Only in the air britain was still ruling with advanced aircraft level 3 and longrange 2 – so after the first encounter axis air got grounded and moved grumbling towards Russia... In Iraq the fate of the world finally got decided when the entire russian forces and their 7 tanks entered the country...Rommel with the heavy armies retreated immediately back towards Egypt while light forces defended Tehran and the port city of Iraq to delay the russian advance. Due to all russians beeing in Iraq, advance in central Russia was extremely fast without much resistance and in Spring 1942 already Rostov had been reached, Archangel conquered and the first pushes towards Ural could take place. But Iraq should be the final battlefield as german high command decided to build a huge mouse trap into the desert... – while Russia was busy with the last defenders in Iraq/Iran, Axis sent massive reinforcements to Beirut and Amman...von Bock not only brought 4 airfleets and 2 bombers with him, but also every man that could be spared from central Russia and all new built units...hiding out of sighting range of the russian air in caverns beneath the sand dunes...and so the russian forces approached...unaware of the whirlwind, sweeping towards them from the deep desert...in a single strike half of the russian tanks got destroyed by hidden 88mm cannons Rommel redesignating from anit-air to anti-tank weapons....russian armies buried in the sands of Syria....the survivors fled in panic the whole way back to Caucasus and Stalingrad, leaving behind all heavy equipment...every soldier only anxious to catch the last trains out of the death zone...only to be faced with destruction by german forces approaching Stalingrad and Caucasus from the other side, coming via Rostov...destroying fortification after fortification on their way to meet with Rommels forces entering Russia from Iraq...and so the war ended with the allied surrender one turn before they could have finally shaken each others hands . Liam Posted November 6, 2007 Author Share Posted November 6, 2007 Mirror Match... Axis Liam, vs Allied Terif 1939-1941 My Axis conquest Poland, Benelux, Denmark turn 2. Allies move into Norway before Snowfall and my U-Boat is killed without raiding once due to late Canadian Entry. France falls with haste and my Panzers roll over all opposition, even jumping into Norway to Liberate it from the Allied Oppressors. Allies with Auckineck Conquest North Africa, and Italians flee rather than fight a doomed fight... The Italian Navy dies a valiant death defending the Boot, as it is apparent Churchill has Designs on Fascist Italia... Germans, introduce a Wonder weapon in 1940-41, Longe Range Bombers... Hammering the Entire Island of England, reducing it's Industrial output 50% per turn. The only answer to the aggressive North African and Med Conquests by the billigerent Island Nation. This lasts awhile until Adanced Spitfires remove that threat and Barbarossa opens up... In Short Order the MiddleEast is conquested by the Russians along with the British. The Germans have a late start so the Reds are pretty awesome on the ground. Though Luftwaffe dominates in the Air. Finland nearly falls along with Sweden, but both are saved awhile from the Red Giant. Axis forces penetrate the first 4 cities into USSR, and meet stiff opposition, losing half dozen units or so... Very bloody in the first year... The Following Year the Ultimate Goal for the Axis is Leningrad and with the USA joining in the West, the Axis conquest all the Minors on the Mainland except Greece and Spain.. It's too late to get those last two minors. Industrial output is pitiful and the The Axis War Machine rages on nearly another year and half before they're outproduced 3 to 1... The Final battles in the East are ferocious regardless, thousands of Russian tanks in the East pour into Prussia...Russian Infantry pour into Romania... And in Italy after years of freezing in the Boot, British troops finally capture Taranto-and push onward to Rome! In the West, Millions of Fresh Doughboys land and nomatter how many Rommel sends home in bodybags, there are many to take their place. The RAF USAF crush the Axis when they come out of their foxholes, and the stalemate is over, 3 frontwar noone can manage long as Axis... Terif Posted November 6, 2007 Share Posted November 6, 2007 Yep, in the mirror match Germany put all its hope on bombers and air with extreme long range level 4 and for this purpose closed all scientists in to fortress Europe – no one allowed to move out of the continent, even the italian garrisons from Africa got called back. Manchester port got flattened for some time, but then RAF fighters got the upperhand in the Battle of Britain, repulsing the enemy bombing raids which were finally called off after obviously too heavy losses for the german Luftwaffe . While Royal Navy was busy sinking the entire italian navy in the Med - which were springing like lemmings at them until they were gone – german commando units liberated Oslo and later conquered Scandinavia altogether, bringing USA into the war in July 1942. Meanwhile UK forces landed in Sicily to take off some pressure from USSR. So with its forces frittered around the globe, Axis were never able to punch a hole into the russian defence lines and only could conquer the front cities before they were forced into a WW1 trench warfare and ultimately thrown back to their country by allied forces attacking at 3 main fronts (France, Italy, Russia) as well as liberating Sweden and Denmark in the turn of the Axis surrender. War in the final year was extremely bloody...during the last turn of the war alone Germany lost 2 tanks, 5 armies and 5 corps...forcing finally the Axis surrender . Here some war pictures: Heavy fightings around Rome at the beginning of 1943 – half a dozen axis units killed on the way from Sicily to Rome...nevertheless the italian capital held with massive german support till the end of the war: Russian defence line around Moskow stands strong...
