terrain heavy map - big file!

Im play testing my first scenario and my opponent made an interesting comment. He said that the PBEM file is getting bigger with each turn! ( 1MB+ so far ). So does this mean the scenario designer has to take into account that the scenario might be played via PBEM? . This means cutting back on the various types of terrain but by doing so, Im sure it will affect the way the scenario plays.

The size of the movie files depends in part on the size of the map, but even more so on the number of units, especially AFVs. The movie files tend to get larger as the game goes by, as more movement and combat occurs, because of the computational demands. The files then tend to decrease in size toward the end of most games, as the number of units and amount of combat declines. So, scenario designers do need to take into account these factors.
