There are some things I need to clean up yet and research further - anyone who can clarify some of the stuff I've left "hanging" please email me, though I intend to give the article the fine-tooth comb over the weekend. Very interesting stuff - I liked the reaction to the 24 July 1944 order to replace the military salute with the German Greeting (Hitler salute). For all those who keep saying the Germans have no sense of humour....maybe it's only their soldiers who are funny? Though of course the article is about a Czechoslovakian in the Wehrmacht.... These articles all state how 'brave' the camp guards are after the war, i guess that job always attracts a certain low life who gets off on beating defenceless prisoners who are probably far greater people than he.
