Magnum MGG
Hello there, I haven't really learned, or have the experience yet, on how to use the map and mission maker for CMBB... but for you makers out there looking for an idea, I would really love to re-live this battle...(hint, hint)... Magnum MGG
and another one... (I would love to take on the role as M. Wittman in this mission coming up behind the enemy and trying to destroy as many as he did, lol, possible? (well actually, maybe not, this was on the Western front, so may not work)
WWB
Pyonri will get done in due time. As for whittman, have you not looked at your CMBO CD. Its on there, one battle and one operation. WWB
Michael Emrys
There are much better maps for the Kursk battle. Suggest you get the translation of the Soviet staff study prepared by Glantz and (I think) House. The place and unit names are mostly in Russian cyrilic, but you can still pretty well dope out what's going on. Michael
Magnum MGG
Yes... I've done the "Whittman in the East" mission, about 5 times... but that scenerio is none that I read about, I read the one above and like to try my hand at reliving the greatest tankers, greatest battle, greatest day. akdavis
Magnum, they are refering to Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord, the predecessor to CM: Barbarossa to Berlin. It deals with the Western Front (i.e. U.S>/U.K./Commonwealth vs. Germans) from just after D-Day till the end of the war. On the CD for THIS game, you will find a recreation of the Villers-Bocage turkey shoot. I wouldn't expect anyone to spend time modding this battle for CMBB, as its not Eastern Front and has already been done.

WWB
Magnum, Whitman was nowhere near Pyonri as I understand things. I do happen to have 1:50k maps of prokhova, so something kinda neat and special might be in the offing. WWB
