John DiFool
Is the game engine up to modeling a few crack squads sneaking in behind enemy lines and destroying some important weapon, or even assassinating an important enemy officer? Naturally the normal win/loss thingie wouldn't work, as no control points (likely) would change hands, so you would base victory on whether the infiltrators accomplished their mission. I recently cobbled together a quickie scenario of this type (a recon squad, elite leader and sharpshooter go in and 'destroy' 3 artillery guns, tho of course you can only make the crews abandon their guns). Worked pretty well (tho my main squad got creamed  ). John DiFool [ October 23, 2002, 11:37 PM: Message edited by: John DiFool ]
Warlord69
Thats great John. Now crank out a fun little story, put it in the briefing, give it a name and get it out to the public. I think CMBB doesn't do those types of scenarios perfectly, but it can't do everything, and we have to stretch are imaginations a little bit all over the game. I've seen them done well before in CMBO and I'm sure we will see some more for CMBB.
Louie the Toad
Have you checked out the scenario Fertile Fields? Parts of it are or can be played as infiltration. But not completely. Can/ should be played as Allies vs AI. Super map. None other like it I believe. As in any covert operation, timing is everything. It is either at Der Kessel or Scenario Depot. Recommended by .......
