Colonel Klink
Hey, I'm new here. I was just wondering if there are any battles or operations on the 3rd armies battles around and in the town of Metz. I haven't found any at the Scenario Depot, and I'd hate to have to resort to my own meager map-building skills to do it. I'd also be interested in battles that take place in the Saar region, or in Operation Northwind, if anyone know where I could find some of those. JonS
These guys make the best scenarios in town. Click on "battles", then look down the righthand edge of the page for the category "Eastern France 1944" and you will see "Dornot Bridgehead", "Arnaville Bridghead", and "Destruction of the 112th". Back at the Scenario Depot there is also "ROW - Duel at Dompaire" in the battles section. A Search of the Scenario Depot using "Country = France", "September", "1944" and "Allies = US" gave these 26 battles: A War of Blocks Advance to Arracourt Another River Arnaville Bridgehead Arracourt ASL-CM Death and Ruins Big Valley Bootprints Bridgehead at Benicourt Counterattack at Remiremont Dieulouard Bridgehead Dornot Bridgehead Down by the Crossroads Farm de Pomme Frites Hasselt Kelly's Heroes Battle 2 Kelly's Heroes, Three Tigers v2 Lorraine Paratroops on Parade Road to Luneville SS Attack Surrounded Tank Trap (Huge) Tank Trap (Small) Trench Warfare Walk on the Wild Side A search of the Operations using the same criteria gave these two: Kelly's Heroes Pack TF Butler That should keep you going for a bit Regards JonS Edit: sbelink [ April 22, 2002, 09:06 PM: Message edited by: JonS ]
