Paddington
NOW i have the money to buy! So what you think is better... 256ram and gf4 MX 440 OR no ram, gf3 ti200 I now have a 800mhz machine whit 128 ram...
Monty
What is your OS ? IF you have W XP, you need the 128 mb RAM for W XP alone, in that case you BADLY need more RAM. If you have W 98SE, you could go for the better vid card i think. Edit: do you use a fixed swap file ? Setting a fixed swap file ( and use Norton SpeedDisk go give it a good place on your HD ) can improve performance of PC's with little RAM ) Monty [ December 21, 2002, 08:31 AM: Message edited by: Monty ]
BulletRat
If you're going to go GF4, don't buy the MX cards - they're severely limiting to your CPU - spend a few extra bucks and buy a Ti4200.
1SGWinks
You definitely need more RAM regardless of what video card you buy. Ram is so cheap now you can get a 128Mb stick for 7 bucks at Best Buy

Monty
Small , maybe even medium map scenario's with not too much units will look smooth, but large or huge maps will have some slowdown effects. But because CM is not a FPS, it dont effect the outcome of the turn You can improve performance by "taking out" the trees and use maximum unit increase of 2x Monty
