Maj Soshtokovich
Hi, I have noticed a lot of folks are looking for some material on the type of war fought on the Eastern Front. Duuh !! to all of you who said " a very big one ". The following passage is illustrative of this book: " A Rusian attack that had twice been repulsed with unheard of losses would be reapeated at the same place and in the same fashion. Unimpressed with previous losses Human waves always came on." This book goes into appreciable detail on all aspects of Soviet operations (eg: artillary) and most interesting time of seasons. Read Fighting in Hell: The German Ordeal on the Eastern Front Generaloberst Erhard Rauss Have fun guys
Panzer76
I have it. But I found it to be too "dry" for my own taste and also it's focusing more on the grand scale of things than the CM tactis level.
Mike13
World War II Ballistics:Armor and Gunnery by Lorrin Bird and Robert Livingston is an excellent book if you are really into ballistics. Covers American, German, Russian, and British weapons.
