John O'Reilly
Just played a scenario with lots of AT rifles against light armour and half tracks. The rifles seem to be very effective at shocking (killing one crew member) but has anyone ever seen them actually kill of a crew completely? It just occured to me since I have seen so many shocked results but never once a completely eliminated crew despite already shocked units taking subsequent hits, John
Tigrii
If they take another casualty they bail out, so an AT rifle can't kill the whole crew.
Thin Red Line
John, I think a shocked HT crew under intense AT rifle with a lot of penetrations should logically 1) Pull back 2) Or bail out Seing 14mm tungsten rounds repeatedly hitting the inside of the vehicule must be very uncomfortable. Olle Petersson
I've had the same experience. In a scenario I played one T26 took at least 20 penetrating hits from ATRs (no other AT weapons present) before the battle ended. The crew was broken or routed, but the tank had just been sitting there for several turns. IMO the crew should have hit reverse and driven off once scared enough.
