beetroot
When playing by email, or IP, the portion of the screen dedicated to the control buttons is black, except for a brief description of the currently selected unit, in white text. It is possible to click on the space where the GO button should be and things run as normal. Is there a keyboard command for GO (enter doesn't work)? All other functions appear to be working; 60sec play, sounds. Also when the space bar is hit a string of vertical letters corresponding to the commands appears on the playing area of the screen. Is this normal?
Schrullenhaft
This sounds like a video driver issue. I assume that you're running on a PC. What video card, Windows version and video driver version do you have installed ? What resolution are you running at ?

Schrullenhaft
You're running the default driver for the GeForce family that comes with Windows XP (12.40). I suggest upgrading to a newer (but not the latest) driver, which should hopefully address some of your problems. I'd recommend running either Detonator version 30.82 (more than half way down the list) or Detonator 30.87 (Videocard Drivers > NVIDIA detonator drivers > select page '4' from the bottom). The 40.xx drivers might work, but they may have some of the same problems that almost all of the newer ones do (FSAA problems, screen refresh, etc.). The 30.82/30.87 have no problems with the CM series.
beetroot
I downloaded the latest Gforce driver before I read your suggestion. v45.23, and everything is now working fine. All issues resolved. Many thanks
