SCSI CD drive

Recommended Posts

I have a SCSI CD drive (in a P3-733, 256MB, Voodoo3). I have successfully installed CM but when it comes to playing it the CD is not detected. :/

I have a second PC with an IDE CD drive and the game runs fine on that. Is this a problem with Combat Mission not working with SCSI CD drives??

(p.s. thanks for the suggestions in the wargamer.com forum lads)

Is your OS Windows XP ? Are you using 'compatibility settings' on CMBO ?

This thread has some details about the 'compatibility settings' and how it may affect CMBO. I doubt that this is a 'SCSI vs. IDE' issue in terms of the drive. You may want to check your drive manufacturer's website to see if there are any firmware updates for your drive too. Do the same for your SCSI card and check the Windows Update page for any possible updates to the ASPI SCSI drivers, etc.
