Clinton
This is an old school question that I should remember but alas, I cannot. If I put a unit at the very edge of a woods area but still in the woods, does it recieve the same amount of cover and concealment that it would recieve say an inch or so into it? Just wondering if placing units on the visibility cutoff point will give them extra cover while mainting LOS. Thanks,
Michael Emrys
Putting them deeper in makes them harder to see (adds concealment) but I don't know if it adds protection from direct fire (adds cover). It has no effect on indirect fire; being in trees in the first place makes indirect fire more dangerous due to treebursts. Michael
AnonymousOxide
I know that placing say... an infantry squad further back from the edge of the woods gives you an inferior LOS compared placing them right on the edge of the wood. In that case, I would imagine that when firing on an enemy, they have a greater chance of missing (because they are farther back), and less fire-power is being concentrated on that enemy because trees are in the way and such.
