CMMODS rulesets - please help!!!

I have downloaded GEM_WITHEWASHED_M4S_CMMOS4 but cannot get the ruleset to install.

The readme says there ought to be an auto installer in there to get the rulset into CMMOS (I am using 4.03), but I can't see it in any of the folders I downloaded.

Nor can I find a fix for this in any of the documentaion, either in the GEM folder or at CMHQ. HELP!

If memory serves you should have a tab in CMBO CMMOS called "Winter Allied Vehicles".

Most of the rules in that ruleset are written against global files in the File List(Winter_US_Vehicles.txt and Winter_UK_Vehicles.txt) so you won't see a specific rule for each vehicle.

There aren't very many icons in this particular ruleset because they aren't needed. Just because you don't see something doesn't mean you don't have it.

There are two ways to tell what is going on.

The simplest way is to set up an enormous quick battle in the snow and simply buy one of every single possible unit for that side. That way you can tell at a glance what you've installed and what you haven't.

The trickier way is to go into GEM Software/CMBO and see if you have RuleSet003. If you do, take a look at Rules 003-005, -006, -007, -008. You'll notice that the rules are written to apply bmp's with extensions that look a lot like _ww, _ww_star, _ww_panel, _ww_star_panel. If the unzipped mod bmp's have those same extensions, then the ruleset will apply them when you click on the apply button for the rule. And that's one of the many reason why you should always unzip to safe temporary holding area first before you dump something in the bmp folder.
