Amedeo
You can see a picture of this round here . Why is it not in the game? There was no sufficent evidence on its combat use? Bye Amedeo

Bye AmedeoCannister rounds were issued to artillery units for last ditch defence (which would make it kind of hard to model, since it is such specific behavior I suppose), but I can't really see 45mm cannister rounds (how many metal balls fit in a 4x8cm space?*) as being very effective... which would make issueing it to tank units even more questionable. * 137 apparently, for a total weight of 1.5kg.. 10g pellets? WWB
I suspect the thing was rather nasty. The US made good use of 37mm cannister, found to be very effective in hedgerow/jungle clearing ops. WWB
Amedeo
Foxbat, I might agree with you about the scarce effectiveness of the round, however, although the webpage I was referring to was about tank guns, I was wondering on its issue to AT gun units (something similar to what the US Army did, IIRC, with its 37mm ATGs). Amedeo
Here is another interesting webpage about 45mm ammunition. It includes also further info on the cannister rounds of this calibre. Amedeo
