Maximus
Designers, posting links directly to your .cmb/.cmc files doesn't do the trick. Please zip the files up. When you click on one of these .cmb links all you get is a bunch of garbage on the screen. ------------------ "I for one, am pretty damn close to Genius"--Ol' Blood & Maximus
FutbolHead
Unless you right-click the file and select "Save Target as" or "Save File as" from the context-sensitive menu. You can still d/l .cmb files that way.
Wild Bill Wilder
I don't think this is a problem of the designers, Maximus, but of the folks who run the sites and provide the links. Perhaps they'll read this and get the message. Maximus
FutbolHead and Wild Bill, yes even when I right-click on them and "Save Link as" most of the time they don't work. However, some scenarios that I have gotten that way...work. What I meant to say by "doesn't do the trick" is that for some reason, the .cmb and .cmc files don't transfer too well over the internet using that "rick-click" deal. Moon's scenarios coming from his site didn't seem to work by doing the right-click. Now they did work coming from Manx's site zipped up. So what is a man to do?? ------------------ "I for one, am pretty damn close to Genius"--Ol' Blood & Maximus
Moon
FYI, there also zipped scenario files now at http://www.gamesofwar.de [This message has been edited by Moon (edited 06-26-2000).]
Manx
Obviously zipping up cmc/cmb files is a waste of time as far as the files download size is concerned (the files are already WELL compressed), but Maximus is right - they definitely "travel" better like that. ------------------ COMBAT MISSIONS- The Source For CM Ops & Scenarios WWW.COMBATMISSIONS.CO.UK
Wild Bill Wilder
Hey Maximus! What is a man to do? He is to throw his hands in the air if frustration and curse the gods of war that have so capriciously made things difficult in going to battle.
