Durbish
Hey guys, A friend of mine recently recieved a bunch of photos from his grandfather from his time in europe with the 703rd. I'll be scanning them for him and will try to get permission to post some somewhere. Anyways, I was hoping to find either book references or websites for historical info about this unit. ps my friend is not here at the moment but i will try to get more specifics from him when I see him next. I believe he also recieved some of his grandfathers letters from the army including commendations and walking papers. pss many of his pictures have a "passed for personel use" "not for publication" stamp on them dated 1945, would that still be in effect or has the passing of years negated their ban? Kingfish
I'm assuming you are referring to the 703rd TD Battalion, in which case here is their website: 703rd TD battalion The unit was part of the U.S. 3rd armored division, so you'll probably have better luck obtaining info on the unit by going thru the parent formation.
