BillWoodAgain
Command was the large difference along with doctrine. Radios. Whenever CM-The Early War comes out, would it not be unreasonable for radio less tanks to be forced to move as groups? It would not feel right for a French tank platoon to split up across a map, they used flags to communicate. Perhaps a spotting algorithm needs to be created for radio less units, if they can't spot the leader, maybe they should stop or be the target of a nefarious TacAI "No communications" decision. Much the same could be said for Soviet style massed warfare, some troops being restricted to group moves.

argie
All this issues could be simulated using the HQs bonuses as already exists... In the time frame covered by CM, the British troops are all Regular to Elite, but the Officers lacks initiative in relation with USA or German officers. So, make the HQs units Greens and without Bonuses to simulate this... OTOH, USA could be simulated with Green troops and Green HQs, but having good HQ bonuses. Same procedure could be applied to every case in which you feels the standard setup is wrong... Ariel
