Craig Champagne
Combat Mission intrigues me greatly, but before I buy it, I'd like to know whether folks who have a system similar to mine have had any problems running the game. I have a new Gateway with Athlon 800 CPU. Win 98 SE Soundblaster Live Value sound card 64 MB Nvidia GE Force2 GTS Graphics Accelerator Thanks very much for your input. ------------------ Craig C.
Guest ACTOR
Well I have a Gateway PII 450 with a 32meg GEForce 2 card and I have no problems. I just ordered a new Gateway with an Athlon 1.1 Ghz chip and 64 meg GEForce 2 card. I would recommend that you buy the game if you are enjoying the demo. I love the game and have played it for MANY hours since I received it. If there is anything else I can do to help, let me know.
Craig Champagne
Thanks for the prompt reply. I tried to download the demo, but I keep getting disconnected. I'll try again. What software would you recommend that allows a download to continue at the same point after inadvertent disconnection? ------------------ Craig C.
Guest ACTOR
I use Download Accelerator Plus. It is a great piece of software. It is available here: http://www.speedbit.com Let me know how it goes.
Craig Champagne
Got the Demo! I'm very impressed with the game, and I will buy it tomorrow. If the Demo runs, I assume that the game will also run? ------------------ Craig C.
Guest ACTOR
That's the way it worked for me... I hope it works that way for you. If not, just post here and I am sure you will get all the help you need.
Craig Champagne
Thanks ACTOR! I have CMBO loaded and running on my computer just fine! I feel sorry for the folks who have anything under a 500 mhz speed CPU, because CMBO seems to be a resource hog! Runs fine on my machine! Looks utterly fantastic on my Nvidia GE Force 2 GTS. ------------------ Craig C.
Guest ACTOR
Good to hear that we have another convert! I am also happy to hear that it loaded fine without any problems. Take it easy.

Stefan Fredriksson
Ahh, you lucky guys... I have a 233mhz with 96mb and voodoo1(!) card. And let me tell you, 3 years ago this *was* top-of-the-line On medium scenarios the game is sometimes a bit slow when scrolling, but action works very fine, even though I have most details set to high.
