(i.e. the unit is entirely off the map) Generally arty or aircraft bombs did this. I was rather disappointed to find out this is still true in CMBB. You can tell when this happens because the crews of the destroyed vehicles will reappear on the map edge where they exited. This really messes up exit scenarios.
