demoss Posted October 4, 2002 Share Posted October 4, 2002 I've been trying this one as my intro to the Finns, and I have one question. The briefing suggests playing it as the Finns against the AI. My question is simple: why? I'm on turn 18, now, and my Finns haven't even broken a sweat (which is good, because it would probably give them instant frostbite). I've got control of the flags and have suffered 5 - count 'em, FIVE - whole casualties. Meanwhile, from the fact that only the odd Russian squad here and there is actually moving forward or firing, with mostly just red stars appearing on screen, it appears that the bulk of the Russian force has been routed. The score is currently 98-2 (which means the Russkies are making progress, because it was 99-1 a couple turns ago). And I haven't even done anything particularly clever! There's a fairly obvious approach (IMO), and I've taken it. It's working REALLY, REALLY well. I suspect even the AI might be able to do it.
