MadMonkey666
Is it possible to use a map made in the editor and still be able to choose units when starting a game? If not, is there a workaround for it?
Splinty
I believe all you need to do is set "allow human"force pick, when you set the parameters for the map before you save it.
MadMonkey666
The "allow human force pick" option is only available in the generate quick battle... not in the editor. Is there no workaround for this? I read somewhere that people DO play on custom made maps while being able to pick their own forces.
mPisi
2 ways (at least): 1. Send the map and your force picks to a 3rd party, have them set up the battle and send back to one of the 2 players to start. Can be password-protected for the paranoid. b. Design the map in the scenario editor. Then the allied player makes his force picks in the editor. Then send the file to the German player, who makes his force picks in the editor. The German player must pick second since the editor opens the unit screen to the German side. The Allied picks are already in there but hidden. Save the game and either side can start. As there's no way to move the units into custom setup zones in the scenario editor preview map without viewing the map and potentially your opponent's forces, there needs to be an agreement that in setup all units will be placed in the appropriate zones if they are not there already.
