Michael Dorosh Posted February 2, 2004 Share Posted February 2, 2004 I just updated a list of the Knight's Cross holders who earned their awards while serving in North Africa (not necessarily with the Afrika Korps) in ground combat. http://members.shaw.ca/madorosh/supreme2.htm Would be appreciative for any feedback re: corrections or omissions. I've left pilots out entirely, but kept FlaK troops in, thinking that they were used often to engage ground targets. If someone can fill me in on the specific deeds of the FlaK troops, or make a case for exclusion, I'd be interested in that. I've left general officers on also, though I took theatre commanders (ie Kesselring) off the list. Still researching the correct waffenfarbe for some of the recon troop insignia - this was quite a nightmare apparently. And a couple of Luft rank patches to put up also. Actually we are looking at doing a Heros series. VC, CMOH, KC's, etc. So yes, we will be sending the Hero's of WWII to a CM scenario near you very soon.
