von Paulus
Characteristics : - Not especially broad (around 150/200 meters large in Paris, often not more than 100m) But it depends Whether you are in Rouen or in Sedan - Absolutely not swift, maybe excepted in the the first 100 kilometers of the river - Narrow in the first 50 kilometers (well, only the source of the river ) - Generally fordable in the first 60 kilometers For the second question, I don't have any clear idea. I'd suppose they used wedge platoon formations, with small frontages. But the grogs will answer you better Paulus
