The Hooded One
Hi, I've just started playing CMBO again after a long period with CMBB, and I'm finding the grass, tree and wheat field textures really hard on the eyes - they're just so damn bright and tacky looking. I've been to the Combat Mission HQ and the cmmods site to look for mods, but didn't find anything suitable. So, does anyone know of any toned-down grass and tree mods out there that make CMBO look more like CMBB? I'd appreciate directions... Thanx.
Ales Dvorak
http://cmoutpost.net/lists/cmbo_terrain.htm But if you like CMBB tree, grass .. mods you can import them in CMBO. ( There are certain limitations if you are a Mac user) p.s. Try Magua's Normandy mods...
MikeT
I am in the process of redoing all CMBO mods for CMMOS. The entire thing is being redone. You can contact me for further details. MikeT desertcmt@comcast.net
Panzertruppe
You will have to "shop" around a little because there are some great hi-res grass textures out there. Combat Mission HQ has some nice mods too!
MikeT
I do have all the grass mods done. If interested I could send you one to see if it installs on CMMOS for CMBO "old style". Panzertruppen is right, CMHQ has several good grass mods. I especially liked the one with hexagons drawn on it. Reminds of me of my old ASL days. The Hooded One
OK, thanks for the help and suggestions, guys. I solved it by importing the textures from CMBB (didn't realize this was possible, but it worked fine) and grabbing a few tree mods here and there. Now it looks great!
