Schrullenhaft
What message do you get with your Fatal Error ? Usually there will be two alpha-numeric characters for the error (i.e. - 0E) and often there will also be the name of the offending and offended applications along with a memory address (not all Fatal Exceptions will have this). If there is any consistency here, then it may point out the culprit. Do you have any programs running in the background ? I would suggest turning off any programs that are running while you are attempting to play CM. You will also probably want to disable virus checking utilities also. Do you have the latest drivers for your Voodoo3 ? 3dfx's Voodoo 3 Reference drivers (BETA !): http://www.3dfxgamers.com/drivers/voodoo3/voodoo3_win9x_beta.stm Latest Reference Drivers: http://www.3dfxgamers.com/drivers/voodoo3/voodoo3_win9x_new.stm If you are overclocking anything (to your knowledge) you may want to bring the clock speed down to the manufacturer's defaults. This includes CPUs and Video cards. If none of this works for you then you may need to play around with your Harware Acceleration sliders for either Sound or Video.
