Kozure
I apologize if this has been mentioned before - I did a search of threads and didn't see any that seemed to cover this question. In the scenario "Rangers Last Stand", the scenario briefing mentions 2 Ranger companies and 2 81mm mortars. However, on start up, there appears to be 2 companies of rangers, some engineers and a support platoon, with no 81mm to be seen. In the end I didn't need the mortars; I managed to hang on to a "Total Victory" result - but I was curious - is this a case of this scenario being designed with an earlier beta TO&E (similar to the situation here: http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=30;t=002403 ), or should the 81mm mortars be there? I'm curious, as it might have made a difference, historically speaking.

Kozure
Ah. Easy solution. Out of curiousity, historically, did they have the mortars?
Kingfish
I'm not sure if they were equipped with 81s for the Cisterna operations. Normally they had 2x 60mm mortars per line company, but they did replace the 60mm with the larger 81mm for the landings at Arzew in North Africa, and Cisterna Op was a much bigger operation. One problem with adding the 81mm to this scenario, the LOS is shorter than the mortars minimun range, even if they employ a HQ for indirect spotting. In any event they wouldn't send the mortars out with the line infantry on a night attack.
junk2drive
iirc that one was done by wbw and if youve played his sp scens, you never know how accurate the intel is. part of the enjoyment, having to plan your attack based on what ifs. imho did it have mines?
