Schrullenhaft
What computer are you running this on, a Mac or a PC ? If it is a PC, which version of Windows are you running ? What version of DirectX do you have installed and what video card ? Which version of the drivers do you have installed ? If you have FSAA (Anti-aliasing) turned on, can you turn it off (usually from the Display control panel) and see if this effects the game ?

Schrullenhaft
Do you know which particular iBook you have ? Which OS are you running ? OS X is not supported for CMBB, including Classic. The QuickDraw 3D RAVE support doesn't exist in Classic or OS X to run CMBB (though CMBO runs since it can support a 'software rendered' 640x480) since it requires 'hardware level' rendering for 800x600 or above. The only way to get CM to work with 'Classic' is to boot into that OS (9.2.2) without loading OS X and remove the 'Classic RAVE' extension. I can't recall off-hand if the designated 'Classic' install has full RAVE support or not. Generally you may need a separate partition for 'Classic' if you run CM often enough (or a second 'Classic' install that isn't designated the 'blessed' Classic folder that OS X manages). If you're using OS 9.x you may want to update to 9.2.2 (which should be a free update from Apple). It should provide the latest drivers to allow your iBook to work properly with CM (though most of the 9.x.x series should work).
