I can't remember off-hand if Win9x/ME has the same 'black screen/refresh' problems that Win2K/XP does with the Detonator drivers. If that's the case, then you may want to make sure that you're running 30.82/30.87 or earlier. You may want to turn off FSAA (or increase it to 4X - though that may slow things down quite a bit) to see if this helps. If you do, the screen can get scrambled, It is a Microsoft direct play thing and NOT Combat Mission. Wait til the other person connects and has the download before alt tabbing out.
