I don't think that the perfect company level game has rigid one minute turns and total control of every unit down to tank and fire team at all times. Change some of those parameters and different possibilities open up.

Who says a future CM can't address issues like resupply?

The problem of the omnicient player is something I believe BFC has thought a lot about, with all the talk of Borg spotting. Lots of rules and mechanisms, such as command delays, fixed units, individual unit spotting, new limitations which simulate information sharing between units, etc can go a long way to limiting this problem, even though the player still has total information.

And you expect CM to be the answer to anything you want to simulate? Sorry, that is silly.

As for company level, as discussed in another thread it is underserved. I've seen it done reasonably well for Nam, but really it is simulating the scale battalion level operational games typically do. In Nam that just meant companies instead.
