No Italian offensive in 1940?

Well "offensive" may be a big word, but I noticed that in North Africa the earlier start date is December, 1940 - with the "O'Connor Raid" and Operation Compass, I presume. So, no possibility to play the Italian advance to Sidi El-Barrani in September, 1940 (when the English for a while actually feared that the Italian Army could reach Alexandria). I know that there should not be many differences between Sept and Dec. 1940, but there could be climatic factors to consider, and maybe slight differences in the OOB.

Hehe. They probably got delayed in the same shipping strike which BFC have invented to halt the deployment of the Afrika Korps for several months as well. It's bad enough that the Italians aren't available for their main offensive, but not having the Afrika Korps available for the crucial Easter battles of 1st Tobruk is bloody awful. Hopefully a patch can fix, if BFC are interested.

You can get the Afika Korps by going to July 1941. BFC is aware of it. Simply pick any date you want put in the equipment then go back and change the date the equipment stays. SO you can do any battle you want by just changing the date in the editor.

You can get the earlier Italians the same way.

True, it works in the Editor. However, not when setting up Quick Battles --- which is how most people play the game.

No, you can't. CMAK's beginning date is limited to Dec '40 --- can't go back any farther than that.
