IanM
I have a notebook with following specs Celeron 600 MHz processor 256 Mb RAM 16 Mb Trident CyberBlade XP graphics card running Windows XP. Has anyone tried running CMAK on such a low spec machine? Is it going to be worth trying, or should I stick to my main PC? Thinking ahead to time away from home at Xmas when I only have my notebook with me

Thinking ahead to time away from home at Xmas when I only have my notebook with me I have played all CM's on an IBM thinkpad A20 with 750MHz CPU, 128M of Ram, and an 8M integrated video processor. That is on par with what you have. The main issue I had was smoke graphics and having average settings for trees and such. Larger scnerios were very jerky in moving around at levels 3 and up, but manageable.
