  1. Thought that would be the answer - but I had to ask because I'm upgrading soon
  2. I have read many posts about the incompatibilty of the CM series with OSX, so I don't need the same technical reasons repeated again... ..but, has *anything* changed with the release of 10.4 Tiger?
  3. Thanks for the info Michael...that should save me hours of tinkering Just have to stick to other games for my Mac wargaming! And, I have to add that, as a long term Windows user - for gaming and work - I am so far (after a week!) very impressed with my new PowerBook!
  4. Just looking for confirmation of what I suspect to be the case, but I'm going to ask anyway Is there any way to get any of the Combat Mission series, especially CMAK, running on a new Mac Powerbook, running OSX 10.3 Panther? (Aside from partitioning the HD for a dual boot machine, which I don't really want to do...I'm new to Macs and have enough on my plate already!) Anything you can do in Classic mode? Anyone tried anything with Virtual PC and the windows versions of CM? Just looking for a thread of hope...
  5. I have a notebook with following specs Celeron 600 MHz processor 256 Mb RAM 16 Mb Trident CyberBlade XP graphics card running Windows XP. Has anyone tried running CMAK on such a low spec machine? Is it going to be worth trying, or should I stick to my main PC? Thinking ahead to time away from home at Xmas when I only have my notebook with me
  6. Hi I purchased and played CMBO a lot because I was interested in the theatre of operations. I did not, until very recently, purchase CMBB because wasn't so interested in the Eastern Front. About a month ago I saw the game on sale for £9.99 and bought it - still haven't installed it though! I preordered CMAK from Battlefront and received it 10 days ago...installed it...and am very impressed and enjoying it immensely. I knew very little about the WWII campaigns included in CMAK beyond popular war films, but this weekend I went out and got a couple of books on the North African theatre - an interest in history inspired by the game rather than the other way round! Still not too inspired to try CMBB though - I, too, much prefer playing as UK/US/Commonwealth forces. Take from that what you will...
