rexford
Anyone out there have any data on the weight and diameter of the German 75mm APCR tungsten core which would have been fired by the 75mm L43, L48 or L46 guns? Thank you. Lorrin
Mr. Tittles
Was this made in any real quantities? I used to have a website marked that listed ammo production. The 50mm APCR was made in some large numbers (but production stopped) and the 88mm was made in very small numbers. I cant recall that the 75mm (all types) was very much.
Mr. Tittles
http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Waffen/sturmgeschutze-R.htm This german website says that it was produced in 42 and 43 and in pretty small numbers. HEAT 75mm was produced in larger numbers but it was even discontinued. AP and HE seem to be the major players.
Kromyr
Check out this link. Half way down you will find the PzKpfW IV data, guns, and ammo. I hope this helps. Kromyr.

Mr. Tittles
http://gva.freeweb.hu/weapons/usa_guns5.html A comparison with the US 75mm HVAP can be made. I would guess the diameters would be nearly the same. 1.5 inch.

Jambrosic
Not a problem. I picked up his book, Normandy 1944, Niklas Zetterling. The data is in his book as well. The site promted me to purchase his book. Very good detail on the German forces in the Normandy campaign. Very grognardish. I enjoy his postings on the Dupuy Institute forums as well, methodological and thoughtful. Kormyr.
