Amon Erxleben
I've noticed in TCP/IP games that it's possible for me to click on a firing enemy unit and see where its "area fire" line is plotted. My opponent reports the same thing. I'm assuming this shouldn't happen, and it's never been an issue in games I've played on one machine. I'm playing the BFC version, and my opponent has the CDV version. We've also had problems with mortars not firing when they obviously should be, but one problems at a time, eh? Has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks! Amon
ParaBellum
It's not a bug, it's a feature. Since CMBO you could click on an enemy unit and see its target. As for the mortars not firing: check that they aren't hiding, have LOS to their target or are in command of a HQ with LOS to the target. Amon Erxleben
Oh. Thanks--I guess it makes a certain amount of sense. Just hadn't noticed it before... The mortars remain a mystery--they weren't hiding, had LOS, were calm and rested, and had plenty of ammo. Oh well--it was hopefully a fluke.
SFJaykey
Perhaps the mortars were still setting up? That one has tricked me a few times. Also they need to be pointed in the right direction, can't pivot and fire as fast as a squad or LMG. - Matt
