Commonwealth grogs - question re: 3 inch mortars

Recommended Posts

Just ran across this on my own board. Can anyone help?

I've been researching the WWII British 3-Inch Mortar and am trying to figure out what the effective burst radius of an H.E. round was. Also what the maximum fragment range was rated for. I've only found a single post war reference that implied a 25 yard radius which is similar to a 75mm Pak.

I have the Canadian 1944 printing of the SAT but can only find reference to the beaten zone when multiple shots have been fired.

Any help along with the source you found the information would be greatly appreciated.
