Sergei Posted November 30, 2003 Share Posted November 30, 2003 Armour quality refers to the quality of steel. That reference to IS-3 doesn't really tell what it means, maybe badly welded seams. Meanwhile late war German armour plates tended to be of poorer quality because of lack of certain materials. Besides, it doesn't even matter because IS-3 didn't see any action in Europe.
