GumbyDude
I posted this to other forum, but it may be appropriate for this one. I think it's a bug that needs fixed: I've noticed something that I can't understand when France surrenders. When I have british ground units around a port (say Brest) but the port has no ships, control of the port goes to the British as expected. However, if the British have a ship in the port at time of surrender. It doesn't seem to matter that I occupy Brest and all adjacent hexes, the port itself goes to Germany. This prevents my ground units from evacuating France via the port and my ground units will get slaughtered by the German forces advancing west. Not only that, my British ship remains docked in port! In a German port! I have to move one of my adjacent british units before the port converts to my control. At that point, it's too late to save that unit, he's stuck. Isn't this a bug? It clearly behaves differently when a British ship is in port. Gotta be a bug in my opinion. Is there anything I can do to prevent this (besides making sure there are no British ships in French ports at time of surrender).
