Ralph Beaman Posted September 10, 2002 Share Posted September 10, 2002 I installed the game and then down loaded the 1.03 patch on my lap top, which is a Dell 600 mgtz Celeron, 128 megs of ram. The game froze, the screen was all messed up (the map was huge i could not see thr tool bars, as the screen moved towards the tool bars without the patch) after installing 1.03. Also the screen flickers on my lap top. Do i just need to turn down the resolution? Will 1.04 keep the game from freezing up on me and running slow when trying to quit a game or save a game? Hubert Cater Posted September 10, 2002 Share Posted September 10, 2002 Hi Ralph, Not really sure what the problem could be, to reset your display settings try right clicking on your desktop and selecting properties. From there you will be able to select the 'Settings' tab and reset your original display settings, i.e. screen size, bit depth etc. If you click on the 'Advanced' button and then select 'Adapter' you should be able to reset your refresh rates to your original ones and this will eliminate the flashing. Try upgrading to patch v1.04 and let me know if you encounter the same problem, this would be better so we can discuss any tech issues with the latest version.
