Terif
Axis turn 1: No polish breakthrough (army survives at 1). Polish AF reduced to str 2.
Terif
Axis turn 2: 2 polish units destroyed and units around Warsaw reduced. German armies around Warsaw - will fall next turn. LC surrenders, no allied attack on Ireland, Malta AF operated to England, both UK AFs around London and intercepting, Rodney battleship sunk again in the Atlantic - same procedure as last game and last year, no change in Zapps strategy... zappsweden
Turn 2: Atlantis subs almost gone.
Terif
Axis turn 3: Last kamikaze attack of the surviving sub, subs are no more, another UK battleship slightly damaged. Warsaw conquered, Poland continues fighting with its 4 heavily damaged units - german HQ still commanding the polish forces, so next turn it should be over. Denmark Corps destroyed, Kopenhagen will be occupied next turn. France built again a HQ, UK air is attacking a german corps in Brussel to force intercepts - so far perfect combat results for Allies...won´t help them with this strategy. Terif
Axis turn 4: 3 polish units destroyed, only the str 2 AF escaped the slaughter, but surrenders together with the country. Denmark surrenders too. Still no allied DoW on Ireland, carriers expected in France. So Germany didn´t place a corps SW of Brussel and only do some damage to the french frontline - Repositioning + reinforcing of the german air. zappsweden
Turn 4: Italian readiness is too high (because of my early Malta evacuation) so Ireland stays neutral for this game (until later in the game that is...).
zappsweden
Axis won the first important battle. HQ'd Fresh French Army gets killed in First Blood Hex by Tank+air+air+Corps.
Terif
Axis turn 5: 1st french hex conquered, cheap corps placed inside - the loss of one corps can be expected. Polish veterans operate west, new AF put into service (Manstein commanding since last turn).
Terif
Axis turn 6: Surprisingly Allies only attack with 1 army, so the german corps is still alive. French Ardennes under attack - 3 tanks/armies + 4 airstrikes can´t kill it...nearly every attack did minimum damage.
Terif
Axis turn 7 (March 31, 1940): This time the french army in the Ardennes got destroyed after 3 army + 2 AF attacks, forest taken. In the meantime all 4 french ships have been disbanded.
Terif
Axis turn 8 (April 28, 1940): This game the german offensive goes like a spearhead through the middle of France. The coast including the Elbow is still in allied hands. German tanks 2 hexes away from Paris. French units attack even when they are damaged, but the str 5 french army at the front survives again due to lucky combat rolls for Allies. But a french corps is dead and german units advance...Still heavy airbattles every turn.
Terif
Axis turn 9 (May 26, 1940): Allies again have not enough units to protect France, so Paris is again not defended. A temptation for the german forces - with some luck (4 AFs ready to attack) Paris would fall when attacking the only corps (not entrenched and newly built too...) that is standing between Paris and the german tanks. But since not luck should decide this game, Germany chooses the safe way and conquers the french mine .
Terif
Axis turn 10 (June 16, 1940): Allies operate a str 7 army from Maginot to Paris. French corps 2 hexes east of Paris destroyed, german tanks move through the open gap and reach Paris. Another french corps survives at str 1. This can save Paris another turn, otherwise it would have fallen next turn for sure. Italy will join the following turn.
zappsweden
June 1940: Axis Tank reach Paris so Italy joins the war. Allies take empty Brussels. Maginot abandoned.
Terif
Axis turn 11 (June 30, 1940): Brussel was protected, but Allies kill the german corps in front of it by doing maximum damage. So Brussel is in allied hands. But the corps in it is reduced to str 3 by the german counterattack, and since Allies were missing this corps there were not enough units left to protect Paris. French corps killed, Paris surrounded from 3 sides and 2 french armies cut off without supply in the northeast of France. Paris will fall next turn, all german AFs moved into striking range. There will be no french survivors in England, Bilotte still near Paris...
zappsweden
Oh my God! Axis Luftwaffe Killed attacking Paris.
Terif
Axis turn 12 (July 14 1940): Yep, unbelievable...all 3 armies and 2 AFs do minimum damage at Paris, while the allied units do maximum to the german ones...so a str 5 german AF gets killed. The other 2 AFs reinforce to be sure to survive next turn since they have to expect taking maximum damage too...canadian corps killed nevertheless, Brussel reocupied after it had been abandoned. Italian transports near Malta.

Terif
Axis turn 13 (July 28, 1940): 4 spots around Paris axis, but 3 armies are enough this time to kill the defender - France surrenders. Canadian army in Bordeaux, Brest allied. Malta occupied by Italy. German AFs attack Resolution battleshipgroup outside Brussel and reduce it to str 5. zappsweden
Losses upon french Surrender (July 27, 1940): Axis: Atlantic subs, 1 corps, 1 air fleet. UK: Canadian Corps French: Practicly everything
Terif
August 1940: Vichy conquered, Bordeaux occupied, Brest under attack by german armies, italian transport takes the undefended Suez.
zappsweden
Axis failed Norway, but obviously some air units were weak i.e one luftwaffe did zero damage.
Terif
September 15, 1940: Again very strange...Oslo corps survives at str 1 despite 2 experienced armies attacking it and 3 AFs. The second time at all in over 500 games that it failed - success probability should be near 100%...all 5 attacks minimum damage. Nevertheless it will fall next turn with the help of additional air. Heavy airbattles around Brest. Italians on the way to Egypt.
