Humit Intelligence Tech

This tech forces a player to allocate his intelligence assets by country.
With each level of intelligence tech you can establish an intelligence network in a country or improve an already existing intelligence network.

Each Intelligence Network in a country gives you a percentage chance(5% in a major country/10% in a minor country or conquered territory) per turn to get a report summarizing the number of units in that country. There is a 1% per turn that an intelligence operation in a major country may uncover the extent of their technological advances.

Example: Germany achieves Intelligence Tech Level 1

It may decide to establish an intelligence operation in the UK or Russia or US or Canada or Egypt.

It chooses the UK.

There is a 5% per turn that it gets an intelligence report of units in the UK.

Intelligence Report

Country: UK

Corps - 2

Army - 1

Armor - 0

Air - 4

Bombers -1

Ships in Port - 2

HQ - 0

There is a 1% per turn that it gets a technology report on the UK

Jets - 2

Longrange - 1

AntiTank - 0

If Germany had 2 Intelligence Networks in the UK the chance of getting these reports increase to 10%/2%.

Example 2: Say that the UK had 1 Intelligence Tech Point to use. If it assigned it to France it could find out when the Axis units in France are few. If it assigned it to Russia it could see the number of German units in Russia.

The System would use a screen like the tech screen to create intelligence networks. Only in this case the screen would list countries and territories. Futhermore, intelligence networks can't be moved from one country to another.

The countries/regions listed would be US, UK, France, Russia, Germany, Italy and Norway+Sweden, Spain+Portugal, North Africa, Turkey, Axis Minors
MOD1: Per Intelligence Network in Country

Combat Strength Report: Level 1 (5%), Level 2 (12%), Level 3 (20%), Level 4 (29%), Level 5 (39%)

Technology Report Chance: Level 1(1%), Level 2 (3%), Level 3 (6%), Level 4 (10%), Level 5 (15%)

Steal Technology Event Chance: Level 1(1%), Level 2 (2%), Level 3 (3%), Level 4 (4%), Level 5 (5%)

Related Event:

When: 1% per turn per intelligence network in a major power country.

Pop-up:

Sir our agents can steal a technology in [Germany]; however, such action may expose one of our intelligence networks in that country.

Do we:

A. Steal the Technology

% = (1 to 100) minus 10% per Counter Intel Tech Level

<5%: Agents compromised, network destroyed & enemy gains free intelligence network in your country.

25% Failure and Intelligence Network destroyed.

50% Gain 1 Tech and network destroyed.

20% Gain 1 Tech and network survives.

B. Do Nothing, our intelligence agents are more valuable if they stay hidden.

--------------------------------

Four Intelligence Techs

1. Humit - Human Intelligence

.......10% or 5% per level to get report on enemy strengths in selected countries.

2. Signit - Signal Intelligence

.......1% per unit per turn to see location of enemy unit(s)...Example: 1% to see Armor Unit1, 1% to see Armor Unit2, 1% to see Armor Unit3.

3. Partisan Support

.......Increase chance for partisan units by 10%(20%Winter) in selected enemy conquered country... Example: France, Spain, Norway, Turkey, Iraq, Ireland, Findland, Greece, Russia, UK, Yugoslavia. 3 Chits in Norway = 30%(60%winter) per turn.

4. Counter - Counter Intelligence

.......Reduces effect of the 3 enemy intelligence techs in countries you control by 1 level.

Edwin,

You seem full of excellent ideas. This seems really interesting.

If only Battlefront would enlighten us in some way about which direction SC2 is heading,if there ever is going to be a SC2 at all.Hubert seems to be vanished from the earth.

Another great idea, there have been many of them of course. However I would still have to see confirmation from HC that SC2 if a def. and if at all possible, some clue as to what we will be looking at.

It has been numerous months now, don't you think we deserve atleast SOMETHING?
