Such a huge bid. Do you both feel the game is that unbalanced or you both desire to control the axis that your willing to 'give' the allies two R&D chits, two armys and a HQ (roughly)?

Anyways thanks for the AARs - makes reading the forum interesting.

Evacuation successfully completed. France will fall next turn. Nothing left to defend it ;) .

Iron Ranger:

The game is nearly perfectly balanced, but I played with Zapp very much games now and we both know each others tactics in every detail. If nobody makes a fault, it would be a draw without bid. But the game is more risky for Allies. One wrong move and they loose their airfleets or carriers and their possibility to win. Axis has not that much of risk, if they loose some airfleets, doesnt matter cause they have the mpp advantage. Allies have to do twice as much damage as they take, during invasion time or they have bad chances to win - at least with the strategies we both use now smile.gif . There are no real strategical surprises any more between us, the other good possibility for Allies to win.

So you can say: our high bid is the risk surcharge for Allies. If they dont make a mistake they should win with this bid... (I hope so at least ;) ).

The battle of Brest was very expensive. Norway becomes now a big land and naval battle. 3 Allied armies landed in Oslo. 6 UK cruiser and battleships attack. Germany lost one army and a corps. The landed Hq damaged.

Germany attacked with ships and moved all air to Denmark. Allies sink a cruiser and the sub. High naval losses expected next turn ;) . UK air reached now Lv2 jets and fights duels with german air (Lv0) from Denmark. Additional allied units arrive in Norway.

Italian landings around Alexandria.
