Warphead
Nope. But Sharpshooters.
Chad Harrison
they are more sharpshooters than snipers as we know them today. they more or less represent the man who had the best shot out of a platoon or company who now has been issued or has acquired a scoped weapon. its not a marine sniper who sleeps with his gun, has shot over 1000 rounds from this gun, and is wearing his hand crafted gilly suit (that would be cool though). they can be purchased under the support section for 19pts. they come with only 10 'shots', each 'shot'representing a number of aimed shots. they are extremely effective at taking out tank commanders and support weapons. they have an increased stealth ability, are harder to spot, and harder to keep a bead drawn on. Ligur
They die if someone looks their way. I guess that could be demoralizing.

offtaskagain
quote:
Originally posted by Hydralisk911: So they can be used to demoralize the enemy eh?

Actually they are extremely useful for buttoning up tanks. FO teams are pretty vulnerable too, within 400m or so. The AI never unbuttons it's vehicles, so even if the commander isn't killed, the crew's visiblility is serverly restricted so they are far more vulnerable to infantry AT weapons, i.e. Panzerfaust/schreck and bazookas. Mud
And if spotted only from a significant distance, they may show up only as unidentified "Infantry?" contacts -- just as a far-off full squad might. It might distract an attacker long enough to matter in a short, time-pressured (as in number of turns, not TCP/IP time per turn) game.
