British Fireflies getting 5-6 tungsten rounds in June & July '44

Recommended Posts

Brought this up before and was wondering if BTS or someone had any information on if this ammo was available at this time for this tank.

In "Armoured Firepower..." by P. Gudgin, it lists these types of ammunition available to the 17lb:

APCBC/T: 2900 ft/sec(844m/sec), weight 17lbs.

APDS/T: 3950 ft/sec (1,204m/sec), weight 8lbs, 3 oz. Core weight 3lb, 4 oz.

HE/T: 2,875 ft/sec (876m/sec)

the slash T stands for tracer, not tungsten.

The Armor-piercing discarding sabot round does have a tungsten carbide core. Are these "T" rounds in the game representing the APDS rounds?

Loaded ten of each firefly via the editor. This is more information for this thread.

Allied Sherman VC Firefly:

5/0/4/0/6/0/3/0/6/0

Allied Sherman IIC Firefly:

0/4/2/4/5/1/6/1/3/0

It's a wide distribution; anywhere from zero to six, based on luck. Loaded 20 Elite Fireflies and their ammo range is very similar, so this rules out crew quality.

Forgot to add: Month was set to July
