New Scenario: PBEM-TCP/IP, NO FLAGS!

Recommended Posts

Ladies and Gentlemen,

You asked for it. I buildt it. You said you would come. The scenario is called "Meeting!"

Posted at CMHQ, or i will gladly e-mail the scenario to you.

A scenario designed for equal play and equal pain. I am working on the next one already involving a city.

Please post AARs in "Scenario Talk " of this forum(check out the forum for current AAR on "These Hills ARE ALIVE").

Here is the General Breifing, Have fun and thanks to all who have given me feedback on my previouly designed scenarios.

August 1944

Meeting Engagement

30 Turns

Day, Clear, and Dry ground conditions

*** Scenario best Played TCP/IP-PBEM

***NO FLAG ON MAP

The battles are intense: the Allies are breaking

out while Axis forces are trying to plug the holes.

Meeting engagements are quick firefights. Both

sides are on the move to set up strong points at

important road crossings in cities, villages, and

in the countryside. If you control the roads you

can move your troops to strategic areas more

quickly and in force.

Both sides are racing against time. It has been

the wettest summer in a long while and there

is a prediction of the coldest winter in a 100

years.

Secure the roads, destroy the enemy!

Does it have exit zones? If not, what's to stop me from digging in and waiting for my opponet to attack me? I don't mean to critical, but how will you keep both players attacking?

Objective is spirt of the game! IF all you do is wait then you have a problem. is their exit zones in tic-tac-toe?In Chess? What stops you from doing the same with exit zones?

This was set up as an alternate to QB format that is most played by PBEM oppenents. People said they were tired of have to play with flags but wanted to destroy their enemy.

The objective and orders are in the briefings. How it is attained is up to you.

Michael

So it's kind of like a one-battle operation? I suppose that makes sense. I may give it a try.

One format that works well is to set up flags on opposite ends of the map. That way it's kind of like a game of capture the flag; you have to attack and defend at the same time. I've set up a few of these for other people to PBEM.
