ElGuapo Posted October 18, 2001 Share Posted October 18, 2001 We all know that tungsten is kick ass. We knwo that it shows up for the allies later in the war. But, has anyone figured out the exact details of tungsten issuance during a QB? For instance, what decides who gets tungsten and how much? What month is best for getting it, and what country? I've noticed that TDs get it more often than regular tanks. Has anyone done a study on this or can talk intelligently about it? Just curious. 109 Gustav Posted October 19, 2001 Share Posted October 19, 2001 Germans will sometimes, but not very often, get tungsten rounds for the pak38 50mm AT gun. They're very useful, since they can take out sherms on a front hull hit. Still, the German supply of tungsten during the war was very limited, and mostly used for machine tools, so you shouldn't count on getting any rounds.
